We don’t have to tell you it has been a tumultuous time… Policing, incarceration, and racial disparities have become centered as people across the planet stood up against state violence. We continue to face the worsening realities of confronting a surging global pandemic & its implications for our incarcerated loved ones.

Freedom Project exists because of community support. We are all in this together and we welcome your financial contributions to support the ongoing work of dismantling mass incarceration and healing its traumatic effects on our community.

All gifts are welcome – any amount matters!

As a community-centered and culturally-responsive organization, we come from, are in, and are directed by the community we serve. We offer tangible resources where they are needed most – and make space for people to show up as they are and be seen for their humanity. We organize to connect people to critical support, facilitate co-learning on racial equity, anti-oppression, compassionate communication and mindfulness, and collaborate with community partners to advocate for systemic change.

I just got my stimulus check - can I forward it to Freedom Project?

YES!  Many have received stimulus checks even if their household income wasn’t been directly impacted by the pandemic. These funds can be donated to Freedom Project using the above form or mailing a check to PO Box 57, Renton, WA 98057.

AND, many in our community are in desperate need of support from stimulus checks — but, because of the oppressive system of incarceration and systemic barriers, are blocked from receiving this assistance.

This is where we can partner.

Donations from people – as opposed to governments or foundations – are the EASIEST, and LEAST EXPENSIVE way to get resources into the community. Because we are in RELATIONSHIP, we have a different sort of accountability relationship. We are in community together, we SEE the impact that community support is having.
