At Freedom Project, we believe in holding space for every young woman navigating systems of harm, healing, and resilience. Our Teen Moms & Girls Group is a weekly circle grounded in radical love, where young women—especially those impacted by incarceration, housing instability, or generational trauma—can connect, express themselves, and grow in community.

This group is more than a support space. It’s a place for transformation, built on trust, vulnerability, and leadership. Whether you’re parenting, healing, or just figuring things out—we walk with you, not ahead of you.

What we offer

Weekly Sister Circles

Transitional support including rental assistance, housing A safe, welcoming space to gather, reflect, and uplift one another. These sessions include open dialogue, mindfulness practice, and guided group topics focused on emotional wellbeing, relationships, and self-worth., and flexible funding for deposits, arrears, and move-in costs.

Life Skills & Personal Growth

Workshops cover parenting, financial literacy, goal-setting, body autonomy, and navigating education or employment as a young woman.

Creative Expression & Joy

Guidance from staff and mentors with lived experience navigating housing and justice systems.

Peer & Mentor Support

Led by women with lived experience, our group offers real-world guidance and accountability, building trust through shared journey—not judgment.

Child-Friendly & Trauma-Informed

We honor motherhood. Young moms are welcome to bring their children, and our space is designed to support your whole family, not separate you from it.

Why it matters

Teen girls—especially teen moms—are often overlooked, criminalized, or forced to grow up without support. We’re here to change that. By centering healing, culture, and community, this group supports young women in building lives rooted in dignity, purpose, and possibility.
